 ว่ากันว่า....หากอยากพิสูจน์รักแท้ ให้พาคนที่เรารักไปร่วมพิสูจน์รักด้วยการเดินทางพิชิตยอดภูของอุทยานแห่งชาติภูกระดึง และถ้าหากเขาคนนั้น สามารถร่วมเดินทางไปกับคุณจนกระทั่งถึงยอดดอย และคอยช่วยเหลือดูแลกันและกันเป็นอย่างดีแล้วล่ะก็ เขาก็คือรักแท้ของเราเป็นแน่แท้!!!

         ...นี่คือตำนานคำกล่าวขานที่มักได้ยินเสมอๆ เมื่อเอ่ยถึงอุทยานแห่งชาติภูกระดึง ที่เป็นเช่นนี้ก็เพราะการที่เราจะขึ้นไปถึงยอดดอยได้ ต้องเดินเท้าเป็นระยะทางกว่า 9 กิโลเมตร คือขึ้นเขา 5 กิโลเมตร บวกทางราบอีกประมาณ 3-4 กิโลเมตร (โห...ไหวไหมเนี่ย) ซึ่งนอกจากจะมีคู่รักไปสัมผัสพิสูจน์รักแท้แล้ว ภูกระดึงมักจะได้รับความนิยมในการไปแบบกลุ่มเพื่อนๆ อีกด้วย และทุกคนที่ได้ไปสัมผัสต่างพูดเป็นเสียงเดียวกันว่า ตอนเดินเหนื่อยมากๆ แต่พอได้ไปสัมผัสกับธรรมชาติข้างบนภูกระดึงแล้วคุ้มค่าสุดๆ 

         แหม ... มีเสียงการันตีความท้าทาย ผจญภัย และน่าไปสัมผัสแบบนี้คงอดใจไม่ได้แล้วที่จะไปศึกษาข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับภูกระดึง … เอาเป็นว่าเราไปทำความรู้จักอุทยานแห่งนี้พร้อมๆ กันเลยค่ะ

         ภูกระดึง เป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติ ลำดับที่ 2 ของประเทศไทย ตั้งอยู่ในท้องที่ตำบลศรีฐาน อำเภอภูกระดึง จังหวัดเลย เป็นภูเขาหินทรายยอดตัด เป็นที่ราบขนาดใหญ่ มีเนื้อที่ประมาณ 60 ตารางกิโลเมตร มีความสูง 400-1,200 เมตร จากระดับน้ำทะเลปานกลาง เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติที่ได้รับความนิยมมากแห่งหนึ่งของเมืองไทย จุดสูงสุดอยู่ที่บริเวณคอกเมย มีความสูง 1,316 เมตรจากระดับน้ำทะเล สภาพทั่วไปของภูกระดึง ประกอบไปด้วยพรรณไม้นานาชนิด พันธุ์สัตว์ป่านานาพันธุ์ หน้าผา ทุ่งหญ้า ลำธาร และน้ำตก อีกทั้งยังเป็นพื้นที่ต้นน้ำของลำน้ำพอง ซึ่งเป็นลำน้ำสายสำคัญสายหนึ่งของภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ด้วยความสูง บรรยากาศ และสภาพอากาศที่เย็นสบายตลอดปี บนยอดภูกระดึง โดยเฉพาะในช่วงฤดูหนาว อุณหภูมิอาจลดต่ำจนถึง 0 องศาเซลเซียส จึงเป็นแรงจูงใจให้นักท่องเที่ยว ปรารถนาและหวังจะเป็นผู้พิชิตยอดภูกระดึง สักครั้งหนึ่งในชีวิต

 การเดินทาง

 รถโดยสารประจำทาง

         โดยสารรถยนต์จากสถานีขนส่งสายเหนือ (หมอชิต) กรุงเทพมหานคร ไปลงที่ผานกเค้า ซึ่งเป็นเขตต่อแดนระหว่างชุมแพ-ภูกระดึง แล้วโดยสารรถประจำทาง(รถสองแถว) ไปลงที่ทำการอุทยานแห่งชาติภูกระดึง จากนั้นก็เดินต่อขึ้นไปยอดภูกระดึงควรใช้รถประจำ หรือหากนักท่องเที่ยวใช้รถประจำทางเส้นทางกรุงเทพฯ-ขอนแก่น ลงที่ชุมแพ และต่อรถสายขอนแก่น-เลย ไปลงที่ตลาดอำเภอภูกระดึง ซึ่งจะมีรถสองแถวต่อถึงไปอุทยานฯ

         1. เดินทางผ่านจังหวัดสระบุรี เพชรบูรณ์ อำเภอหล่มสัก หล่มเก่า ด่านซ้าย ภูเรือ และอำเภอเมืองเลย เลี้ยวเข้าทางหลวงแผ่นดินหมายเลข 201 (เลย-ขอนแก่น) และเลี้ยวเข้าทางหลวงจังหวัดหมายเลข 2019 เข้าสู่อุทยานแห่งชาติภูกระดึง 


         2. ใช้เส้นทางผ่านจังหวัดสระบุรี นครราชสีมา จนถึงจังหวัดขอนแก่นเลี้ยวซ้ายเข้าทางหลวงแผ่นดินหมายเลข 201 ผ่านอำเภอภูผาม่านและตำบลผานกเค้า เข้าสู่อุทยานแห่งชาติภูกระดึง 


         3. เดินทางผ่านจังหวัดสระบุรี อำเภอปากช่อง เลี้ยวซ้ายเข้าทางหลวงแผ่นดิน หมายเลข 201 ผ่านจังหวัดชัยภูมิ อำเภอภูเขียว แล้วเลี้ยวซ้ายเข้าทางหลวงแผ่นดินหมายเลข 12 ผ่านอำเภอชุมแพ จากนั้นเดินทางเช่นเดียวกับเส้นทางที่ 2
