วัดพระพุทธฉาย

 เริ่มกันที่ วัดพระพุทธฉาย ซึ่งตั้งอยู่เชิงเขาปถวี (ปฐวี) ตำบลหนองปลาไหล เข้าทางเดียวกับอุทยานแห่งชาติน้ำตกสามหลั่น เป็นที่ประดิษฐาน พระพุทธฉาย หรือ รอยพระพุทธรูป อยู่บนแผ่นหินซึ่งตั้งอยู่บนชะง่อนผา มีการสร้างมณฑปครอบไว้ มีบันไดจากบริเวณวัดด้านล่างขึ้นไปยังมณฑป และต่อไปยังหน้าผาซึ่งอยู่เหนือมณฑปขึ้นไป

          นอกจากนี้ ยังมีภาพเขียนลายเส้นยุคก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ที่บริเวณเชิงผา ได้แก่ ภาพสัตว์ลายเส้นคล้ายตัวกวาง บริเวณข้างประตูเข้าพระพุทธฉาย พบภาพมือคนและภาพสัญลักษณ์ บริเวณจากถ้ำฤาษีไปทางพระพุทธฉายทางทิศตะวันตก พบภาพเขียนรูปไก่ ภาพพระพุทธรูป และภาพสัญลักษณ์ ส่วนบริเวณหน้าผา จปร. พบภาพลายเส้นขนาดใหญ่ที่มีความซับซ้อน คล้ายภาพเขียนก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ที่เคยถูกค้นพบที่ผาแต้ม จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี เขียนด้วยยางไม้มีอายุเก่าแก่ประมาณ 3,000 ปี โดยเขียนสัญลักษณ์ใช้สื่อความหมายให้เข้าใจในหมู่เดียวกัน และอาจจะเป็นสื่อทางพิธีกรรม และความเชื่อของคนในยุคนั้น
