ทางที่สะดวกและใกล้ที่สุดคือ จากกรุงเทพฯ ใช้ทางหลวงหมายเลข 35 (สายธนบุรี-ปากท่อ) ผ่านสมุทรสาคร สมุทรสงคราม และอำเภอปากท่อ แล้วแยกเข้าทางหลวงหมายเลข 4 ไปจังหวัดเพชรบุรี แต่ถ้าจะไปหาดหัวหินไม่ต้องเข้าตัวเมืองเพชรบุรีให้วิ่งตรงไปตามถนนเพชรเกษมทางที่จะไปจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ จากตัวเมืองเพชรบุรี ประมาณ 41 กิโลเมตร ท่านจะผ่านทางเข้าหาดชะอำ ซึ่งอยู่ทางด้านซ้ายมือ ไม่ต้องเลี้ยว ให้ขับตรงไปอีกประมาณ 25 กิโลเมตร ท่านจะถึงตัวอำเภอหัวหิน และตลาดหัวหิน พอถึงตัวอำเภอหัวหินแล้วให้ท่านสังเกตทางด้านซ้ายมือ พอเห็นวัดหัวหิน ให้ท่านขับเลยไปนิดนึง จากนั้นจะมีแยกซ้ายมือเข้า หาดหัวหิน จากนั้นเลี้ยวซ้ายที่แยกนี้ ( เลี้ยวซ้ายที่ซอยหัวหิน 61 ) แล้วขับตรงไปประมาณ 500 เมตร ก็จะถึง หาดหัวหิน 

- ระยะทางจากกรุงเทพฯ - ตัวเมืองเพชรบุรี ประมาณ 123 กิโลเมตร 
- ถ้าท่านใช้ถนนเพชรเกษม ( ทางหลวงหมายเลข 4 ) ผ่านนครปฐม ราชบุรี เพชรบุรี ระยะทางที่ใช้จะมากกว่าเส้นทางข้างบนประมาณ 40 กิโลเมตร

จากสถานีขนส่งสายใต้ กรุงเทพฯ ไปหาดหัวหิน ใช้เวลาประมาณ 3 ชั่วโมง 30 นาที โดยสามารถนั่งรถปรับอากาศสายกรุงเทพฯ-หัวหิน-ปราณฯ แล้วไปลงที่ตลาดหัวหิน จากนั้นนั่งมอเตอร์ไซต์รับจ้างไปยังหาดหัวหิน
